I’ve been an iPhone user for a few years now and upgraded from the 5s to the 6s the other day. I seem to always have trouble fat-fingering while typing so I thought I’d try a 3rd-party app.

Got any recommendations?

An Andriod phone.

Yeah, I went there.

(Not looking for an argument, I just prefer my Android keyboard to Apples)

I use Swiftkey on my iPhone. But really, typing on iOS is just inferior to Android, unfortunately.

Swiftkey, because if it’s as good on iOS as it is on Android, you’ll really enjoy it (I have trouble using anything else)

I fat finger on the iphone all the time, but my typing always comes out good in the end. The key is to slow down a little and watch what you are doing. It’s very easy to correct before you lift your finger, or grab a ‘suggested word’ even with a misspell in your own. Turn off Autocorrect, as it’s basically useless and changes what you are typing to really odd things. I’d rather have a simple typo than some bizarro word that Autocorrect jammed in there.

Also, when you have misspelled something it’s usually underlined. A simple tap brings up the corrected word most of the time.

Swype is awesome. I think there’s a version for ios now— Try it- it’ll be weird for the first day or so, but once you get it, you’ll never go back—-

SwiftKey. I used it exclusively on my iPhones. But I will warn you, it does crash A LOT.

Swiftkey is my go to keyboard app, always. I’m on Android though and it is absolutely perfect. My wife has an iPhone and I can’t stand the keyboard on that thing, even after having gotten used to it...but she’s all about everything Apple does, so there’s no changing her. But you, I have hope for!
